Hala Georges, Dr.

Dr Hala Georges is a Senior Lecturer in Graphic Communication Design at the University of Northampton. Her research interests are focused on public political art from both the collective and personal points of view. Her recent research looked into responding to conflicts in the Middle East, specifically in Syria, from a domestic perspective. Georges has developed a new modern type based on the ancient alphabet of Ugarit, contextualised in public displays, and published in The International Journal of Education Through Art, whilst her research into the relation between motherhood and creativity has been published in The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Humanities. Georges is interested in public design and its impact on the public perception of cultural and political debates and excited to be part of the SPACEX project.
